We are very interested in importing climate-friendly hydrogen derivatives and fuels. The Chilean-German energy partnership launched in 2019 offers great potential to cooperate on climate protection and the indispensable transformation of the fuel industry. The facility expects to start commercial operations in March 2023.

Germany’s Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) will award up to €80 million to support the construction of electrolysis plants for the production of green hydrogen for the transport sector. Hydrogen and fuel cell applications are a future technology with great potential for the transport sector.

At the upcoming IAA Transportation trade fair in Hanover, Germany, MAHLE will premiere its new SCT electric motor (Superior Continuous Torque), which provides extremely high continuous power and is therefore especially suited to commercial vehicles. This makes it suitable for use in all vehicle classes, including heavy commercial vehicles.

Alstom held a world premiere event on Sunday celebrating its Coradia iLint hydrogen fuel cell train ( earlier post ) rolling into service in Lower Saxony, Germany. From today onwards, two such trains will enter commercial service according to a fixed timetable. The new trains will be fueled at a mobile hydrogen filling station.

HVO allows our customers to significantly reduce their greenhouse gas emissions with existing vehicles and engines and to make an important contribution to climate protection today.

Daimler Trucks & Buses, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, aims to offer only new vehicles that are CO 2 -neutral in driving operation (“tank-to-wheel”) in the triad markets of Europe, Japan and NAFTA by 2039. Truly CO 2 -neutral transport only works with battery-electric or hydrogen-based drive.
