The only upgrade is the Plaid version that features even faster acceleration from three motors, producing sub-two second 0-60 runs. Production of the Roadster, the company’s initial product, ended after deliveries totaling 2,500, but a new version of the Roadster is due at some point. We’ve tested most of those.

The battery-powered cars that Chinese companies are showing are intended to be much less expensive than those planned by big foreign companies. Great Wall Motor Co., Those prices are much lower than that of General Motors Corp.s Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Co. and Chery Automobile Co. in late 2010. Prius hybrid.

The first several months’ worth of EV9s will be built in South Korea, but US production will start sometime during 2024 in West Point, Georgia. and Canada chosen by their peers.

This past week not only had the usual automaker electrification declarations and teases of EVs to come such as the Kia EV6 and Lexus LF-Z concept EV, but we had a huge April Fools’ joke from Volkswagen. According to the Asian auto industry gurus at ZoZo Go , it’s the strongest product debut in the history of four-wheeled vehicles.

It’ll never sell in the numbers Chevrolet will, but GM has said Cadillac’s lineup will be all-electric by 2030—only one full product cycle away. Production of 2023 Lyriqs is entirely sold out. Lyriq launch pulled ahead.
