The car ultimately never made it to mass production, and it was listed on TIME’s “50 Worst Cars of All-Time” list, which is harsh considering it was one of the first attempts at a battery-powered vehicle in the modern age. GM has been relatively successful in its quest for EV powertrains in the 21st century.

Honda will produce a new dedicated hybrid model in the US for nationwide in 2018, as part of the Honda Electrification Initiative, which will expand the company’s portfolio of electrified vehicles. Honda also announced it will expand the use of its two-motor hybrid powertrain from passenger cars to its light truck lineup in the future.

Honda has launched the 2017 Accord Hybrid ( earlier post ) at its dealers in the US. Based on the new requirements, Honda estimates the 2015 Accord Hybrid ratings would be 48/45/47 (actually rated at 50/45/47 under the previous method), indicating a +1/+2/+1 increase for the 2017 model over the previous version.).

Honda has announced two new electric scooters for India next year. It is powered by a synchronous AC motor and a lithium-ion battery. Suzuki is part of the Electric Scooter Replaceable Battery Consortium, which includes Honda Motor Co., Yamaha also plans to launch an electric scooter at around the same time.
