Vehicle production in Japan in July fell 31.9% year-on-year to 742,284 units—the tenth straight monthly decline— according to the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA). Of those autos, output of standard models (displacement greater than 2,000 cc) dropped 37.5% (209,252 units) to 348,028 units.
