American Honda Motor has introduced a Class 8 hybrid diesel electric truck into its truck fleet at its parts center in Alpharetta, Ga—the first such in the auto industry. Honda uses Class 8 trucks to transport service parts between its parts centers and dealerships.

A new analysis from the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) of consumer polling data finds that the proposed MY 2017-2025 passenger vehicle fuel economy (CAFE) and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions standards to be finalized this summer ( earlier post ) align with consumer demands and needs. mpg US (5.87 L/100km) in model year 2025.

Honda demonstrated their “ Walking Assist Device ” at the Congress. Honda is still interpreting the data but they believe the user’s externally powered legs are acted like a second heart, helping pump blood. Honda believes it will be a help in climbing stairs or industrial operations that require a lot of squatting.
