Renault, Europe’s leading electric vehicles manufacturer, and its Dutch economic partners Utrecht City Council, ElaadNL and LomboXnet signed a letter of intent in Paris to develop a Franco-Dutch framework of smart solar charging solutions for electric vehicles. Renault would supply a fleet of 150 Renault ZOE models through 2017 to the city.

We invented solar technology, but we’ve fallen behind countries like Germany and Japan in producing it. So I ask this Congress to send me legislation that places a market-based cap on carbon pollution and drives the production of more renewable energy in America. We should not, and will not, protect them from their own bad practices.
