The entire auto industry has given up on investing in Hydrogen cars. What a waste. Another thing that is infuriating people is that Toyota’s executives are busy lobbying politicians in Japan, USA to slow any pro EV legislation. In the USA, environmentalists are now calling for a boycott of the brand.

Well, America’s auto industry delivered over 100,000. That helped us become the world’s greatest industrial power. Since our cars and trucks use almost two-thirds of the oil we buy, the quickest way to cut oil use is to free transportation from its grip. It’s a 21st-century equivalent of what we did in 1942.

To ignore this potential is wasteful and foolish. It is wasteful and destructive to be burning this versatile molecule; we must stop. The electrical system has perhaps 85% excess capacity most of the year which means we are wasting money in excess electric generation and distribution infrastructure and resources.

V2G helps solve the major problem that demand for electricity is high during the day when everything from industrial plants to air conditioning is running full blast and then excess electricity is wasted at night. Instead they could buy back electricity at peak hours from vehicle drivers. It would be a financial win-win for all.
