Three years ago, the magazine Popular Mechanics even wrote an article prodding the auto industry for not building the 100 m.p.g. Not what you think When the wrap finally comes off, though, I think there will be some surprise for anyone who had hopes of rushing out to a dealership to buy their first 100 m.p.g. Yep, a truck.

It believes that many of the domestic industry’s problems stem from an underestimation of US consumer demand for green cars. Yet when gas prices tumbled later that year, plans for the Prius plant were shelved. Or should Americans be allowed to buy the vehicles they want irrespective of environmental damage or a lack of resources?

“The Toyota Prius took over five years to reach break-even and has gone on to be a wild success.&# Yeah, go buy a 59k Tesla that can go 200 miles… then your screwed, sure go park and get a hotel and charge it for 8 hours… then go another 200 miles, great for long trips i’m sure. I would buy a Volt for $40K.

Duh, heres our $40K volt, buy it please? Best take on all this has been that SouthPark episode with "It" You want something efficient that uses little resources and doesnt impact traffic and parking, then buy a motorcycle. Toyota still has not made any money on the Prius. I wont be buying an electric car of any kind.

And yes, buy cheap (night) sell high (day) and sell local (remember there are HUGE line losses in the common interstate grids- more so in daytime high power draw hours. 99,999 ripple free.
