As a part of the partnership, Volvo will also gain access to 12,000 Tesla Supercharger locations across North America, just as Ford , General Motors , and Rivian have in their partnerships with the all-electric automaker. Soon thereafter, General Motors made the decision to adopt NACS, with Rivian following.

Hyundai and Kia are the tenth and eleventh car companies to adopt NACS since Tesla first struck deals with Aptera and Ford , which looked to secure more charging infrastructure for their customers. I’d love to hear from you!

The report states General Motors, Stellantis, Hyundai , along with its affiliate Kia, Honda, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, will all establish a new conglomeration to set up an expansive network of EV chargers. Tesla NACS gains support from other EV charging companies Tesla has already signed well-publicized deals with both Ford and General Motors (GM) that will see the two legacy companies make the NACS connector standard on their vehicles starting in 2025. Earlier today, we already covered some of the companies that have adopted NACS.
