Volvo Trucks North America, after concluding truck and engine lab testing, has approved the use of renewable diesel fuel for all of its proprietary Volvo engines, offering environmental and cost-savings benefits to customers. Volvo is the first OEM to endorse the use of advanced drop-in hydrocarbon renewable diesel fuel.

The Environmental Protection Agency, after proposing watered down emissions and fuel economy standards for cars, has now released a proposal to increase the amount of ethanol blended into pump gas year-round, including selling E15 in the summer.
