Canada will publish the final Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) in the Canada Gazette Part II on 6 July 2022. The Clean Fuel Standard will require liquid fossil fuel primary suppliers (i.e., producers and importers) to reduce the carbon intensity of their liquid fossil fuels used in Canada from 2016 carbon intensity levels.

The Governors of California, Oregon and Washington and the Premier of British Columbia signed a regional agreement strategically to align policies to reduce greenhouse gases and promote clean energy. Oregon will build on existing programs to set a price on carbon emissions.

The Hertz Corporation, which includes the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands, has expanded of its Green Traveler Collection car rental fleet to include the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid ( earlier post ) in select cities across the US. Additionally, the company currently has 15 solar locations, with projected growth to 20 by 2016.

Honda announced an introductory lease price of $269 a month for 36 months (plus tax) for the 2017 Honda Clarity Electric sedan ( earlier post ), which is coming to select dealerships in California and Oregon August 2017. In addition, California customers qualify for the state’s Clean Vehicle Rebate of $2,500. kWh battery pack.
