In Shanghai, General Motors Corp. Group (SAIC) launched SAIC’s Shanghai Brand Fuel Cell Vehicle, powered by GM’s fourth-generation fuel cell propulsion technology. The zero-emission high-tech vehicles will join the Equinox Fuel Cell as part of a fleet of both GM and SAIC vehicles to shuttle VIPs at World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, GM announced that the Chevrolet Volt extended range electric vehicle will first be available late next year in California, with other lead markets to be named later. Volt production is scheduled to begin in late 2010. Pricing has not been announced.
