Ten of the locomotives will be manufactured in Erie and Grove City, USA and 90 will be manufactured locally at Transnet Rail Engineering’s site in South Africa with kits provided by GE Transportation. GE Transportation has an installed base of some 1,200 GE locomotives in Africa including approximately 900 in South Africa.

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation to create a specially modified Camry Hybrid fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG). Metal Crafters also built the CNG Camry Hybrid concept in 2008. The kit includes a front lip spoiler, side skirts, and a rear lower valance. Surfrider Camry CNG Hybrid.

For years now, inventors and sellers of electric car conversion kits have been blasting traditional automakers for not providing the 100 m.p.g. . will be unveiling its IDEA, a 100 miles-per-gallon plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The 100 m.p.g. mark has pretty much been the Holy Grail in the land of alternative vehicles for some time.

That’s just not another expert Greenius opinion my friends, that’s what is going on in Gainsville, Florida right now after they became the first city in the USA to enact a feed-in tariff law. Previous Prius conversion kits have been limited by Toyota programming to a top speed of 34 mph in all-electric mode.
