REV, a Vancouver, Canada company that converts Ford fleet vehicles into highway capable battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles ( earlier post ), has become the first Hymotion plug-in conversion kit dealer in Canada. It is now offering the Hymotion L5 plug-in conversion system for Toyota Prius owners in BC.

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation to create a specially modified Camry Hybrid fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG). Toyota Prius Aerius and Aemulus. Toyota also publicly debuted two uniquely modified Prius gas-electric hybrids at the 2009 SEMA Show. Surfrider Camry CNG Hybrid.

For years now, inventors and sellers of electric car conversion kits have been blasting traditional automakers for not providing the 100 m.p.g. . will be unveiling its IDEA, a 100 miles-per-gallon plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
