In cooperation with four other companies, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is developing flexible technologies for the series production of lightweight electric motors under the “ ProLeMo ” project (website scheduled to go live 15 August). At the end of the project, KIT will set up a complete demonstration manufacturing cell.

The Localization & AR Maps launch follows Civil Maps’ successful seed round in July 2016, funded in part by Ford ( earlier post ). Civil Maps’ localization and mapping platform is now commercially available for car makers and other companies interested in low-cost, high-precision 3D map creation and updates.
