As I read in the San Jose Mercury News about California's flex-fuel fleet fiasco. Scientific analysis over the years, whether by government or enviro organizations, has always shown that nothing can reduce petroleum usage or toxic emissions as much as a switch to grid electricity into battery electric and plug-in hybrid cars.
