Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. The plug-in Priuses are almost doubling the fuel efficiency of Google standard Prius fleet, getting 74 MPG rather than 41 MPG.

The Think city car has a range of 112 miles and a top speed of 65mph. Among the exhibitors will be Think, the Norwegian electric vehicle will be making its Finnish motor show debut with its Think City electric car.

The GWKulla, a short, curvy compact, runs on lithium-ion batteries and can go 160 kilometers (99 miles) when fully charged, the company says. Prius hybrid. and Korean golf cart maker CT&T Co. Its expected price tag is between 60,000 yuan and 70,000 yuan, or about $8,780 to $10,250.

Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. Many of the first Prius hybrids that were released are still running strong on their NiMH batteries after 100,000+ miles. — jerryd 7.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Thats right.
