By comparison, the Nissan LEAF carries a 99 MPGe (combined) EPA rating, while the smaller i-MiEV carries a 112 MPGe (combined) rating. PLUG IN – make your next car a plug in electric car and plug it into the new solar panels you need to get. So far GM, Toyota, Nissan, VW, Mitsubishi, have all announced plug in vehicles they will have for sale in 2010. That’s 18 months away. So don’t buy another car until you can go electric.

All the wind farms and solar panels in the world won’t do anything to lower the outflow of hundreds billions of dollars annually or decrease our pump-fueled funding of Islamic fundamentalism unless we build cars that can use that cleaner electricity. Nissan and Renault have now promised tens of thousands of EVs on three continents by 2011.

A solar boost from the roof. The top trim levels of Ocean Extreme and Ocean One will be equipped with the SolarSky roof, which Fisker estimates could supply annually up-to 2,000 miles of driving range through solar charging that feeds the battery. Expect in the next few years to see at least 50 new models being released for sale.
