Ohio State EcoCAR built a series-parallel plug-in hybrid electric vehicle powered by E85. For the second leg of competition, teams headed to southern California for track events, including autocross, acceleration, and consumer appeal at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. This is OSU’s fourth consecutive win.

More Drive Electric Earth Day events than ever before; EVA chapters get funding. It’s looking like a very successful Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED) is on the horizon, with a record 180 events taking place throughout April. Community Partners include Climate Action Reserve , Forth , and Virginia Clean Cities.

More than 200 Drive Electric Earth Day events draw big numbers. Drive Electric Dayton’s Trotwood, Ohio DEED event at Trotwood-Madison High School. Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED), with more events across the U.S. Our chapter events featured EVs including the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Rivian, and even the Aptera.”

Within a few years, outreach efforts by these chapter members at local electric vehicle (EV) events had grown to include presentations at conferences around the country, and eventually around the world.
