Millions will plug-in their electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and fuel cell vehicles (FCV) at night when electricity is cheap, then plug-in during the day when energy is expensive and sell those extra electrons at a profit. My Honda Civic averages 34+ MPG over a year period. The Roadster can go 244 miles EPA. PHEVs/EREVs can fill the gap and provide a cheaper alternative to BEVs until battery prices decline enough to take out the ICE. The only other similar alternative is hydrogen and the economics on those cars are even worst so far.
