Cummins will partner with Peterbilt Motors Company, a division of PACCAR to develop and demonstrate technologies under the US Department of Energy (DOE) SuperTruck II program. Eaton Assisting Truck Fleet Owners in Applying For Government Diesel Hybrid Grants

Eaton Corporation has established a program to assist diesel truck fleet owners in applying for the $156 million in grants for diesel hybrid trucks that are available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). An existing diesel truck has to be taken out of service for each new hybrid truck that is purchased.

American Honda Motor Co. Begins Use and Testing of Class 8 Hybrid Truck

American Honda Motor has introduced a Class 8 hybrid diesel electric truck into its truck fleet at its parts center in Alpharetta, Ga—the first such in the auto industry.
