Honda has launched the 2017 Accord Hybrid ( earlier post ) at its dealers in the US. A 30-time recipient of Car and Driver magazine’s “10 Best” award, unprecedented for any vehicle, the Honda Accord has been the US’ top retail selling car for three years running and is also the best-selling midsize car among under-35 year old car buyers.

It is rare when we post a review of a car that is only available in one of the 50 United States, but such is the case with the 2022 Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), which is only sold in California. Those lucky enough to live in California have the opportunity to own one of the nicest electric cars on the road.

Our results show that in typical driving around town and on the open road, the Venue is a gasoline sipper, not a gulper. But when people talk about payback, they refer only to the net dollars to the driver. Dont PHEVs just shift pollution from gasoline cars to power plants? Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) is the concept of using stored energy in a plug-in hybrids (or electric cars) battery to send power to the electrical grid when necessary.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. Company says its focusing on gasoline and hydrogen. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet."
