That’s the banner that will be strung across Manhattan Ave in downtown Manhattan Beach next week to herald our South Bay 350 Climate Action Group event on the beach as our part of the International Day of Climate Action. And we’re reaching out to all 10 million citizens of the County of Los Angeles.

We’ve always planned on retiring and spending the rest of our lives right here, but these days we’re worried about what climate change is already doing – and about the far more serious consequences headed our way. We’re already getting used to the fires, smoke and related air hazards here in the L.A.

In case you didn’t know, the City of Los Angeles still gets 40% of its electricity from coal-fired power plants, the dirtiest polluters and greenhouse gassers on the planet. Or build a cardboard solar panel and wind turbine to tow and show! It’s long been time to kick coal out of L.A.’s

Today they both drive electric cars powered from the charge generated via their rooftop solar panels. After all, Dency lives in the far more telegenic South Bay and his solar panels have an ocean view… That's Dency with actress Cameron Diaz at rehearsal.

She lives in a solar powered house and drives an electric car. Chris is currently working on the sequel to his blockbuster hit, “Revenge of the Electric Car&# and had a crew shooting footage at the event.
