The cord that comes with the car just might suffice for many, especially plug-in hybrids which have smaller battery packs. I am pleased to participate in the EV Project, which came late to the San Francisco Bay Area, and happy to get my tax-payer funded charger and DC Fast port. The result will be simple, safe and cheap.

As I read in the San Jose Mercury News about California's flex-fuel fleet fiasco. a near silent electric trolley bus passes by my window on Haight St in San Francisco, an old technology tried, true, and spurned by the environmental "experts" of the present and recent past. It's cheap to make a car flex-fuel.

It’s called the XC40 Recharge, and the earliest versions aren’t cheap, priced from about $55,000 including delivery. Those are Los Angeles, New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.
