The report also mentioned the possibility of a “mid-price” flagship electric sports car “loosely linked to the C9 Corvette in content.” He hinted it could be priced around $35,000, similar to the new Chevy Equinox EV. With the $7,500 EV tax credit included, prices could fall to as low as $27,500.

In a first drive of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST , we found this big electric pickup to be just average in real-world efficiency, and its 1,500-pound payload capacity is modest versus other full-sizers; but given its huge battery pack it likely won’t disappoint for highway range and occasional towing.

The full-size electric truck, touted to be the “Denali of EVs,” bears GMC’s top-luxury Denali badge and will offer a CrabWalk mode, unlike the top-trim 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST also detailed earlier this month. With the Denali’s lower price, perhaps the base truck will be more affordable, too.
