Acura’s first hybrid SUV, the 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid ( earlier post ), will arrive at showrooms in early April with more than 30 additional horsepower and a 45 percent higher EPA city fuel economy rating as compared to the conventionally-powered MDX SH-AWD.

Consumer Reports has concluded its annual car reliability survey and the resulting data for 2023 has not been kind to all-electric vehicles. Plug-in hybrids were even worse with 146 percent more issues. The biggest issues for EVs were reportedly failing electric drive motors, unreliable charging, and trouble with battery packs.
