As of 2026, Audi will only launch all-electric models onto the global market, gradually phasing out production of its combustion models by 2033. Based on this clear decision made as part of its Vorsprung 2030 corporate strategy, Audi is now taking steps to prepare its global facilities for the production of all-electric cars.

Total OECD annual production of crude oil, natural gas liquids (NGL), and refinery feedstocks increased by 10.3% in 2018 compared to 2017, reaching a record total monthly production of over 100 million tons at the beginning of the year and remaining above this for almost all of 2018, according to the IEA.

Energy company SGH2 is bringing the world’s biggest green hydrogen production facility to Lancaster, California. The City of Lancaster will host and co-own the green hydrogen production facility, according to a recent memorandum of understanding. Now, most of these materials are stored or sent back to landfills.

Hyundai Mobis is building its third core parts plant for electric vehicles in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, following plants in Chungju and Ulsan. Hyundai Mobis plans to secure a production capacity of 150,000 units next year, and expand its production facilities to supply PE modules up to 300,000 units by 2026.

Aemetis, a renewable natural gas (RNG) and renewable fuels company focused on negative carbon intensity products, announced that its Aemetis Biogas subsidiary is operating the Central Dairy Project production facilities 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and has exceeded the RNG production plan by approximately 20% during Q2 2023.

The facility will build on more than a decade of advanced battery development at GM Research and Development. The facility is expected to build its first prototype cells in the fourth quarter of 2022. The Wallace Center will be located on the campus of GM’s Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan.
