In 2013, Daimler, Ford and Nissan signed a three-way agreement for the joint development of a common fuel cell system to speed up availability of zero-emission technology and significantly reduce investment costs. At Daimler Trucks & Buses we are clearly committed to the goals of the Paris Climate Protection Agreement and thus to the decarbonization of our industry. In addition, all European Daimler Trucks & Buses plants will be CO 2 -neutral by the year 2022. All other plants will follow.

However, should CO 2 emissions be unavoidable along the supply chain, these will be compensated by investments in climate protection projects. The Saxon Volkswagen plant is the pilot factory for the ID.3.
