California ARB releases proposed Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) regulation; 100% ZEB purchasing by 2029

CARB will conduct a public hearing on 27 September in Sacramento to consider the proposed ICT Regulation. ZEB purchase requirements. A large transit agency would phase in ZEB purchasing starting in 2023 at 25% of annual new buses purchased. This would increase to 50% in 2026 and 100% in 2029. Early compliance waivers.

CARB scrap-and-replace incentive program Clean Cars 4 All reaches 10,000th participant milestone

Operating since 2015 in the South Coast and San Joaquin Valley air districts, CC4A has since expanded to the Bay Area and Sacramento Metropolitan air districts. The newest Clean Cars 4 All program, administered by the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District, is just getting underway and already has had 22 participants.

California ARB holding Advanced Clean Transit Advisory Committee meeting in Jan; at work on regulatory proposal

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) has tentaively scheduled the first Advanced Clean Transit Advisory Committee meeting for 29 January 2016 in Sacramento. Transit agencies that chose to follow the diesel path option were required to demonstrate zero-emission buses, with 15% of new buses purchased to be zero-emission beginning in 2008.

Clean Energy Fuels delivered 143M gallons of Redeem renewable natural gas in 2019, up 30% year-on-year

Clean Energy’s 2019 Redeem totals were bolstered by a seven-year contract with UPS for 170 million gallons to fuel their large fleet of natural gas heavy-duty trucks around the country, the largest purchase of RNG ever in the US. In 2015, the City built a private CNG fueling station and started converting its fleet of 70 refuse trucks.

BMW i and EVgo expanding ChargeNow DC Fast program; 500 more fast chargers in US; no-cost DC and Level 2 for BMW i3 drivers

California state fleet reduces petroleum consumption 13% compared to 2003
