Governments at the COP17 meeting decided to adopt some form of a universal legal agreement on climate change as soon. Authors of the Intergovernmental Report on Climate Change (IPCC) have finished drafting the Synthesis Report of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) and sent the draft to governments for comments on the text. The report will be released at a press conference on 2 November. The review period runs from 25 August to 10 October 2014.
