A number of other plug-in hybrids, including models from GM, Chrysler, and Toyota, are scheduled to come out in the next few years. The Tesla Roadster can go 244 miles on a charge, but recharging it takes hours. In spite of Teslas lead in getting a car to market, it is expected to sell fewer cars than Fisker, Omotoso says.

Ford and whatever it is they call Chrysler this week didn’t even bother to show up. Get to know Coulomb they make the CHARGEPOINT charging stations and they make them good. Their chargers were all over the exhibit floor charging every EV there. May I charge your EV sir? At least GM did a Disney display.

BMW M cars – they’re coming with hybrid drivetrains. Don’t hold your breath for Australia… Chrysler luxury EV – now part of Stellantis, Chrysler has big EV plans, including a high-tech luxury EV that was previewed as a concept. Soon, apparently. We’ll see a Qashqai e-Power late in 2021.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Daimler/Mercedes Took over Daimler/Chrysler Sprinter PHEV program. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. Showed BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS series PHEV concept in December 08. Batteries not ready. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs.
