Chrysler Group LLC reported US sales of 152,367 units in December 2012, a 10% increase compared with sales in December 2011 (138,019 units), and the group’s best December sales since 2007. The Chrysler, Dodge, Ram Truck and FIAT brands each posted year-over-year sales gains in December compared with the same month last year.

EPA began collecting industry-wide footprint data in MY 2008. The average footprint within each of the five vehicle types has been relatively stable between MY 2008 and MY 2016. ft 2 (2.4%); cars increased 1 ft 2 (2.1%); minivans/vans increased 1.0 The average footprint for pickup trucks increased 1.5 ft 2 (-0.4%). The automobile used to be no longer made as a result of former proprietor Fiat Chrysler Vehicles didn’t have the correct platform for it, and a unmarried product used to be incapable of soaking up the prices of a brandnew structure. All 3 are constructed at Stellantis’ manufacturing facility in Kenitra, Morocco.

Light trucks (pickups, minivans/vans, and truck SUVs), accounted for 36% of all light-duty vehicle production in MY 2012, the second lowest level since 1993. Gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines have increased market share ten-fold from less than 3% in MY 2008 to more than 30% in MY 2013. mpg, or 22%.

Following the short address on Monday during which President Barack Obama outlined the next steps for GM and Chrysler ( earlier post ), the White House posted summaries of the Presidential Auto Task Force’s assessment of the business plans provided by the two struggling automakers, which led to the terms that are currently unfolding.

With those adjustments, light trucks, which include SUVs, minivans/vans, and pickup trucks, accounted for 36% of all light-duty vehicle sales in MY 2010. This represents a 5% increase over MY 2009, but MY 2009 truck share was 8% lower than MY 2008. MY 2010 weight and power increased from MY 2009, but decreased relative to MY 2008.
