I have an 2004 Suzuki quadrunner (Z250 is anyone cares) It''s a rolling chassis only. My plan is to convert this ride into an EV. 36/48 volt. This is a 24 volt system, and made for flat, hard surfaces. I have the resources to create an adapter to convert the 13 spine either up or down to match a golf cart motor.

We Promote PHEV Conversion Programs: First CalCars in 2004, then a number of aftermarket companies, have converted over 200 cars — at first most were for fleets, but more and more are going to individual owners. The easiest conversions are for 2004-2008 Prius (not 2001-2003 Prius) and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrid.

You can fill it up at the gas station, and you can plug it in to any 120-volt outlet. A PHEV with only a 20-mile all-electric range is 62% lower (see printed page 95 in the 2004 study ). CalCars produced the worlds first plug-in Prius (the PRIUS+) in 2004. We can achieve that -- today -- with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
