Sales of the EV models with automaker reported sales were up 11.6% in Q3 versus Q2 2022, according to new analysis from EVAdoption’s EV Sales Scoreboard. Average US sales of the 32 EV models for which OEMs reported sales and that were available in the period July-September, were up an average 10.5%.

SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has started production at its new manufacturing base in Chongqing. It also signed an agreement for the second phase of production at the facility. The first phase of production at the Chongqing base represents initial investment of RMB 6.6 SAIC-GM-Wuling) was launched on November 18, 2002.

SGMW’s sales in the first nine months of 2011 were up 6.6% Monthly sales of the Wuling Hong Guang compact MPV, which was launched a year ago, have averaged more than 20,000 units. On August 9, SGMW launched the first product from its Baojun brand, the 630 midsize sedan. It is available at 120 Baojun 4S stores nationwide.

SAIC-GM-Wuling will export Wuling N200 series and Wuling N300 series products. The Wuling N300, which went on sale in China last year, offers a more spacious cabin than traditional mini-commercial vehicles. SAIC-GM-Wuling, a joint venture between GM China, SAIC and Wuling Motors, was launched in 2002.
