Rajendra Pachauri, who has headed the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 2002. YCEI will provide seed grants, support postgraduate studies, sponsor conferences and workshops, and foster interdisciplinary research in both science and public policy. The IPCC’s Fifth Assessment Report is due out in 2013.

Its partners have been involved in the implementation of the two existing refueling stations, the operation of five fuel cell London buses which joined the Transport for London fleet in 2011, with another three to join in 2013, as well as a fleet of hydrogen iconic London taxis, fueled by hydrogen. Hyundai joined the LHP earlier this year.

The IPCC is expected to release revised reference emissions within the next few years, so that they can be used in the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5), slated for completion in 2013. The fund would provide a bridge to 2013, when approximately $100 billion per year would be available to developing countries, according to Brown’s plan.
