Honda Motor Co., The Fit Hybrid features the new, one-motor Sport Hybrid Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive (i-DCD) system (earlier post ), which performs off-the-line starts in EV mode. An electric servo braking system increases regeneration efficiency, while the fully electric compressor reduces engine load.

Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. All three incorporate a fourth-generation, 100 kW LT PEM (Low Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell stack developed in-house by Volkswagen Group Research at the Volkswagen Technology Center for Electric Traction. Tesla Motors announced that in recent US-NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) testing, the Model S earned an overall 5-star safety rating from NHTSA as well as 5 stars in each component test. Side crash rating results were added with 1997 model year vehicles and rollover assessments with 2001 models. Source: Tesla Motors.
