The concept behind V2G had gained traction in the late 1990s after California’s landmark zero-emission-vehicle (ZEV) mandate went into effect and compelled automakers to commercialize electric cars. For the utilities, it promised an economical way of meeting rising demand for electricity. AC Propulsion’s experiment was timely.

It's official, the Cadillac Converj is to be the second extended-range electric vehicle after the Volt. I may be most interested affordable electric cars, but this makes sense to me. The first Level III chargers deployed by Etec will offer free juice. Demand is outstripping the supply for the electric jellybean.

Was 2000 hrs by then. So you can get max juice out of the battery. . Had some hefty snacks over there and declared to ourselves that dinner was done. Was 1900 hrs by the time we left. Abhishek took over driving duties - and we reached the fast charger at Beaver without any trouble. It restricts the power to 1 bar.

German energy firm RWE has stated that a cadre of respected automakers and energy firms have all come together in agreement on a three-point, 400-volt plug that will enable electric cars the world over to be recharged anywhere, regardless of which recharging station they stop at. There are clean ways to generate electricity.

The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. Lutz, who retired earlier this year, called the car Detroits "moon shot" and an attempt to wrest the mantle of innovation back from the Japanese. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year.

In one of those alternative realities Al Gore got elected President in 2000 and because he understood what was happening with CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions he made cutting emissions, and developing renewable and clean energy sources our country’s focus and goals. Too few people give a shit about that title. .
