In such an emergency, a bidirectional EV with charge to spare could come to the rescue. AC Propulsion’s experiment was timely.

QUANTRON QHM FCEV 60-2000 and QUANTRON QHM FCEV 44-2000 offer exceptionally large tank capacities of up to 116 kg, which are fully integrated in the chassis and positioned behind the cab. A semitrailer tractor version on the same basis is also available. This will enable ranges of up to 1500 km with a single H 2 tank filling.

VW quotes a maximum charging rate of 170 kilowatts, and DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity in about 20 minutes (under ideal circumstances). On one hand, it’s a retro re-creation of a beloved vehicular icon from a Boomer past. The third row can be removed entirely. 4s sold in Canada.

A distance of 923 km using DC fast charging infrastructure. We then went on to do a slow charge upto 100%. Was 2000 hrs by then. We had to charge it to 100 percent - and decided that we will come down after an hour to switch off the connection. There was a power outage at 2145 hrs and the charging stopped.
