Excess solar power is temporarily stored in second-life battery storage systems from recycled electric vehicle batteries. The battery factories in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim (Germany), Tuscaloosa (USA) and Jawor (Poland) will start at the beginning of the next decade. The plant works closely with the Mercedes-Benz Energy GmbH.

In Jawor (Poland), a new CO 2 -neutral engine plant is being built. This includes optimized resource consumption through the most efficient use of energy and heat. In Kecskemét (Hungary), a second plant under construction will be CO 2 -neutral. The plant will start operating in 2019.
