While other national and international organizations have been supportive at government hearings, they havent yet begun to advocate for PHEVs. Toyotas Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries are considered "non-hazardous waste" [See "high voltage electrical systems" ]. What do environmental groups think of PHEVs?
