Well, it’s 2024, the changes to the federal EV tax credit have officially taken effect, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. I think that’s fair since on a good day my 3 ½-year-old Chevrolet Volt has a 61-mile all-electric range, roughly comparable to a used Nissan Leaf or Fiat 500e. Nissan Leaf EV – 4,192. And as anticipated by automakers in recent weeks, the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq don’t yet make the list, while the Ford Mustang Mach-E is for now completely disqualified.
