I have been on exactly one ICE (dinasour juice* consuming Internal Combustion Engine vehicles) roadtrip prior to this. I have never run out of juice. The car can recharge on a 220v outlet, but I have never done that yet, since I don''t have that type of outlet in my garage. A recharge after my typical commute is less than an hour. I typically plug it in every time I come home, and unplug it to leave. I like to use 1st and 2nd personally.

MIT spinoff A123 was a personal favorite, also Germany’s Continental was in the running, but it was LG Chem subsidiary and Detroit based Compact Power, Inc. If they contract with Plug In America to consult, we’d sell a million of them:~). that got the nod. It’s all in how they market them. and complete the circle.

If we wanted to recharge this from 110V domestic service we would need to pull 10,800,000/110 = 96,000 amps. The article is often carried by lots of media who will point to this breakthrough as something that has an impact on electric vehicles. Even worse, we can’t pull 200 amps from a single outlet.

As announced by most of the major automotive manufactures, most recently Daimler, the next step is the plug-in hybrid, which will run a vehicle solely on electricity with backup combustion-engine capability for those who are still “range afraid.” New investments in battery technology and production are announced daily.

In the future, utilities will pay you to plug-in your vehicle. Millions will plug-in their electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and fuel cell vehicles (FCV) at night when electricity is cheap, then plug-in during the day when energy is expensive and sell those extra electrons at a profit. Here we go again.or
