The 2024 Nissan Leaf offers up an experience that leads to a bit of cognitive dissonance. Nissan utilizes the Leaf’s space well, but the materials look and feel a bit outdated – and the weird shifter is a bit annoying. I didn’t get a chance to do a full range test, but I did have to plug in twice. hours from empty to full.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will test and evaluate a mobile smart charging device for plug-in electric vehicles developed by Juice Technologies LLC. SDG&E and Juice Technologies presented a prototype of the Juice Technologies Plug Smart intelligent charging device at the Plug-In 2009 Conference in Long Beach, CA.

Nissan LEAF buyers are excluded. Coulomb Technologies unveiled San Francisco's first ChargePoint America charge stations yesterday in a Priority Parking lot along the Embarcadero. The charge stations and installations were paid for with federal stimulus and California Energy Commission grants won by Coulomb. But for whom?

Although Tesla gets the headlines (and stock price boost), Nissan and Chevrolet make the sales. Plug-in vehicle sales are indeed increasing, with the LEAF and Volt each selling about 2500 units in June 2013. And thanks to the efforts of Plug In America, you can still claim a tax credit for your investment in home charging.
