The 2022 Honda Insight hybrid sedan gets a price bump for the new model year, but retains its 52 mpg combined EPA fuel-economy rating. The price increase is largely due to the elimination of the base LX trim level, leaving only the EX and Touring trim levels.

The new Insight, launching at Honda dealerships nationally in early summer, joins the Clarity series and just-launched 2018 Accord Hybrid as the fifth new Honda electrified vehicle introduced over the past year. As a premium compact sedan, Insight is positioned and priced between Civic and Accord in Honda’s passenger car lineup.

In order to win the United States MPG crown for the 1985 through 1987 model years (for 1988, the Sprint Metro replaced the Sprint ER), the Sprint ER had a taller final drive gear ratio and a stingier camshaft than the regular Sprint. The Volkswagen Fox , base Subaru 3-door and Plymouth Horizon America undercut the Sprint's price as well.

Excellent fuel economy, nice styling, low price and an excellent warranty. This combination delivers EPA fuel economy numbers of 33 mpg city/41 highway/36 combined. As a test, part of those miles were driven with the cruise control set at 65 mph where we averaged 44 mpg, and at 60 mph resulting in 51.4 Pricing and Warranties.

Honda bumps up mpg & power. turbo at 31 mpg city/38 highway/34 combined. mpg combined, with a 90-mile all-freeway run, using the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, the average bumped up to 40.8 non-turbo, fuel economy estimates are 30 mpg city/37 highway/37 combined. 50+ MPG and good handling, too.
