The UK Plug-in Car grant aims to stimulate the sales of electric cars by slicing a chunk of the price. Recently the value of the grant was reduced and the number of models eligible dramatically cut. Previously the only route to the longer range e-Niro SUV was to purchase the model in mid-range “3” trim level.

The state of Texas is now offering rebates on select electric vehicle (EV) purchases including some Tesla models, as made available through a limited-time grant program. The state is accepting applications for grant rebates until March 22, 2024, according to its website, though only 2,000 grants will be awarded.

The California Air Resources Board announced a new statewide grant and loan program to help lower-income consumers across California get into the cleanest new and used cars on the market. The Clean Vehicle Assistance Program, run by the Oakland-based nonprofit Beneficial State Foundation, was launched with a $5-million CARB grant.

Power The US Initial Quality Study, now in its 37 th year, is based this year on responses from 93,380 purchasers and lessees of new 2023 model-year vehicles who were surveyed early in the ownership period. Unlike other manufacturers, they do not grant J.D. Among brands, Chevrolet and Kia receive the most segment awards (four).

Yesterday the UK Government announced immediate changes to the Plug-In car Grant, reducing the value to £2,500 and the number of models eligible. The value of the grant has been reduced by £500 to £2,500 and is only available on cars under £35,000. Additionally, MG has committed to topping up the grant to £3,000 until March 31, 2021.

With revised pricing for all e-2008 models and enhanced deposit contributions for the e-208 range, Peugoet is latest manufacturer to respond to the recent overhaul of the UK Government’s Plug-in Car Grant. This move follows Citroen, Vauxhall and Kia who have adjusted their prices. The Peugeot e-2008 offers up 206 miles of range (WLTP).
