On paper, the 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge Twin Ultimate seems like a fine compact EV. Quirky” is an adjective that’s been applied to Volvos in the past, in ways both good and bad, and it certainly applies here, though the quirks are more confounding than fun. Props to Volvo for that. And it looks cool. Herein lies the true problem.

The word “quiet” in the headline applies in two different ways to the 2023 Volvo V60 Cross Country wagon. The vertical infotainment screen looks good, though the learning curve for its use is a bit steep, especially if you aren’t steeped in the Google ecosystem. Speaking of price points, this is not a cheap car. Oh, and comfort.

In Stockholm, Volvo Cars unveiled its new fully electric flagship SUV, the 7-seat EX90. Starting with the Volvo EX90, Volvo Cars will reveal one new fully electric car each year. The Volvo EX90 will be built in the US starting next year and later also in China. By 2030, the company aims to sell only fully electric cars.
