The ActiveE will be available for lease in the metropolitan markets of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, New York and Boston as well as the state of Connecticut beginning in Fall 2011. At the same time, newly developed lithium-ion batteries facilitate a vehicle range of around 100 miles (161 km) in everyday driving.

Honda unveiled the all-new 2013 Fit EV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and announced plans to begin leasing the battery electric commuter vehicle in the US in the summer of 2012. The Fit EV will be powered by a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery produced by Toshiba, and with maximum battery output of 100 kW. The 2013 Fit EV.

A PUMA runs on lithium ion batteries, can reach 35 miles per hour, and can travel up to 35 miles between charges. Not everyone wants to get hot and sweaty to go to a restaurant, and parking is such an issue in downtown Los Angeles (and Beverly Hills) that buses are almost tolerable. Im astonished at the negativity here.
