Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. Contracts for lithium batteries for the plug-in hybrid Saturn Vue and the Chevrolet Volt have received much press.

They only have that many models because they use the same chassis and drivetrain to build 3 different cars, one branded as a Chevy, the next a Pontiac, then a Saturn, etc. Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
