The three drop‐in fuels demonstrated during the Miami event were: PurFuels Ethanol‐Free Reformulated Gasoline using Isobutanol (GEVO) and TXCeed corrosion inhibitor: A blend of 16.1% biobutanol and gasoline that reduces CO 2 emissions by up to 30% relative to conventional fossil‐based gasoline.

announced that Harbor Marina at Lake Pomme de Terre in Missouri is the first US marina to sell gasoline blended with Gevo’s renewable isobutanol at the pump. Oil and Octane Shop of Springfield, Missouri enabled testing of Gevo’s isobutanol by supplying test blends to major marine engine manufacturers, such as Mercury Marine.

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is partnering with 21 states through the Biofuel Infrastructure Partnership (BIP) nearly to double the number of fueling pumps nationwide that supply renewable fuels to American motorists. The final awards are estimated to expand infrastructure by nearly 5,000 pumps at more than 1,400 fueling stations.
