Kenworth Truck Company is expanding its product line with the introduction of the Cummins Westport ISL G natural gas engine for the Kenworth T800 short hood and W900S models. Now available for order, Kenworth's natural gas models are focused on vocational, municipal, and pickup and delivery applications.

UPS plans to build an additional five compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add more than 700 new CNG vehicles including 400 semi-tractors and 330 terminal trucks. UPS will have invested more than $1 billion in alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles and fueling stations from 2008 through 2018.

Under the agreement, AMP-Trillium, the joint venture between AMP Americas and Trillium CNG, will build seven public fueling stations between August 2013 and early 2014 and lease new CNG trucks that will travel more than 13.2 AMP operates the largest US renewable natural-gas plant that produces fuel from cow manure.
